India have called up left-arm wristspinner Kuldeep Yadav for the one-off Test against Bangladesh.

India have called up left-arm wristspinner Kuldeep Yadav for the one-off Test against Bangladesh. He will replace leggie Amit Mishra, who is nursing an injured knee. This is the first Test call-up for Kuldeep. The Test will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Mishra was not in the playing eleven for India's last Test against England. He picked up the injury during the final one-dayer against the same team, which was played on February 1. According to reports, he has been advised rest by the India medical team. The veteran leggie will take a fitness assessment test later.
As for Kuldeep, he had featured in the warm-up match against Bangladesh. In the two innings, he finished with figures of 1 for 32 and 2 for 2. Yadav will also be seen in one of the practices matches against Australia. Yadav turned out for Rest of India in in the Irani Cup, but was unsuccessful in claiming a single wicket. In 22 first-class matches, he has grabbed 81 wickets, averaging a little over 33.
Although Yadav has been chosen in the Indian team for the Bangladesh series, he is unlikely to feature in the starting eleven, as India will go in with the three spinners who excelled against England -- Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav. The latter missed out on the final Test against England due to injury, but featured in the just-concluded tour game against Bangladesh.
